Supersweet corn planting continues to lag slightly behind plan due to wet weather.
Temperatures in Minnesota this past week were near normal overall, with high temperatures in the 70’s most of the week. All areas received widespread rainfall again this past week, receiving an additional 1 – 3 inches of rainfall in most areas. To-date, this is the 2nd wettest start to June in Minnesota since 1984. High temperatures are forecast to be slightly above normal much of the coming week (highs in the 80’s), with chances of rain again every day this week. Heavy rainfall with some hail and damaging winds occurred across far Southern Minnesota on Monday evening.
The corn planting is on schedule with no major issues to date.
The weather has been cooler than normal this past week with some rain. Forecast this week is for thunderstorms to roll across Wisconsin.
